The Multimedia Center for Teaching and Learning (MCTL)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm. Closed during University Breaks.
Located in the northeast corner of the first floor of the Wham Building (Rooms 110-112) on the Southern Illinois University Carbondale campus, the MCTL provides technology support for the College of Education and Human Services.
The MCTL consists of several rooms:
- The Adventure of the American Mind classroom (Wham 112), which is equipped with a 72" back projected SmartBoard, a computer cart with twenty Dell D510 laptops, and computer desks angled at 45 degrees to the front of the room. If you would like to teach in this classroom, you can look at the schedule. If the space is available at the time you desire, please contact mctl@siu.edu.
- Equipment loan and MCTL staff assistance is available in Wham 112a. The MCTL Staff offer technological assistance with digital still imaging, digital video and videoconferencing. In addition, Faculty and Teaching Assistants may request TV/DVD/ VCR carts or Digital Projection carts delivered to their Wham or Pulliam classroom at mctl@siu.edu or by calling 618.453.2727.
- The MCTL Computer Lab is located in Wham 110.
